This series of blogs, published each Friday takes a colour palette from Design Seeds as inspiration for an interior scheme – with us picking some key accessories to suit your newly painted room. Get decorating this weekend with help from our Weekend Colour Inspiration mood board.
This week’s weekend colour inspiration is taken from the incredible hues of a mineral shard:
We really like this colour palette as there is a lovely mix of blues with a hit of metallic, which takes it nicely into an art deco inspired scheme.
There are many elements which can be taken from the Art Deco period, but we like mixing the teal blues with a variety of gold, pewters and bronzes and some nice glass.
This colour scheme could be implemented in a huge number of ways, so instead of directing you to a particular room or location, we are going to pick out a few items which can be added to many areas so you are free to locate it where you will.
So, our pick for the mineral hues, Art Deco inspired interior scheme are:
saplings eco wallpaper in teal and gold by Miss Print
fabric cable for lighting in gold
tulip light in glass – try these in multiples over a table
snuggle up with this silk throw
and mix two of the key colours with this grey and gold alpaca wool cushion
and even the simplest, recycled glasses can add to your scheme
