weekend colour inspiration – Brighton Rocks

We know that many of you only have time to do any sort of decorating at the weekend, so with this in mind, we are starting a whole new series of weekly blogs to give you a helping hand with your colour choices for your walls and accessories.

A mini version of the sort of moodboards we put together for clients if you will.

The Weekend Colour Inspiration series will publish every Friday giving you our selection of interesting colour combinations that we have found over at the fabulous Design Seeds, plus a few key items we would recommend which will link in with the scheme.

So, from today, pick your favourite – head down your DIY store and get going.

And what better to start us off than an inspirational set from right on our doorstop – Brighton Rock!

This selection is pretty bold – and we love it! The purples and grey are nice and soft and are quite reserved, so would work beautifully as the main colours in a bedroom setting (or even a nursery), but to prevent it getting too sugary sweet, the red and turquoise should be added as accent colours.

Try pale grey on the woodwork, walls in the lighter violet, an accent wall in the darker shade and some of these pieces to bring in the zinging red and turquoise. Tasty.
