As a child my favourite read was anything by Roald Dahl.
The imagination in the characters, stories and rich language gave me my passion for reading and I regularly read them under the covers by torchlight when I really should have been sleeping.
Of course, the magical stories were visually brought to life by illustrator Quentin Blake – a partnership which became synonymous in children’s literature.
You have long been able to buy greetings cards and associated wares patterned with the iconic illustrations of Blake, and now you can bring an interior to life with them too.
Wallpaper maestros Osbourne and Little have teamed up with Quentin Blake to produce the Zagazoo range of fabrics and wallpapers, with patterns including ‘skateboarders’, ‘quentin’s abc’ and our favourite – ‘cockatoos’
Of course, these designs are not going to be for everyone, but they are a sure fire way to inject a bit of graphical interest and fun into a child’s or family interior. Or maybe into a child orientated retail interior? Actually, we can find loads of places that we would use them, and we love them.
Plus, Quentin Blake won the 2011 Prince Philip Designers Prize last night – proving his timeless illustrations are loved by one and all.

love the quentin blake designs, and think the cockatoos are my favourite. Not too childish, this print would look great in a study or hallway. But I guess it depends on whether you want your wallpaper to be a conversation piece or not
