this urban front garden was designed for a local architect who wanted to unify the exterior space with the interior. the scheme was designed to be both practical and minimal, with dwarf box hedging and box cubes mirroring the lines and patterns in the existing Victorian quarry tile path. based on a tilted grid formation, the design works at both ground level as well as being viewed from the first floor windows. as a foil to the structural box and purple plum hedging, grasses and lavender were introduced to create soft movement around the solid features. completed June 11 |
